Background: Since 1984, I've studied several different styles of martial arts. I am currently studying Ryu-kyu Kempo, and have a second degree black belt (nidan) rank in that style. I also hold yon-kyu rank in both Aikido and Isshinryu karate, as well as a green belt in Tae Kwon Do. My highest rankings in any styles are my black belt in Kempo, as well as a black sash rank in Golden Talon Kung Fu, a style in which I am also certified as an instructor.
I've dabbled a bit in other arts, including Judo, Tai Chi, Tang Soo Do, and
Kendo. Probably the biggest lesson I've learned from working with such a diverse
group of styles is that EVERY style has something to offer, they each have their
strengths and weaknesses, and there is no such thing as one ultimate style.
You're free to disagree, but I doubt you will change my mind.
Below are links to information on the two styles in which I have my black belts.
